The municipality of Mijas is a golfer's paradise. With some of the best courses to chose from and the excellent all-year round climate, this area comes highly recommended by the keen golfer. Whether you are staying in Mijas Village, the Las Lagunas area or at any of the points along Mijas Costa, you are never more than a few minutes from a golf course.

Emblematic of the area, Mijas Golf Internacional was the first course in the area and was founded in 1976. Mijas Golf has 2 courses of 18 holes each - Los Olivos and Los Lagos. El Chaparral Golf is our nearest gold course and has recently been completely re-developed into one of the costa's finest. The club house restaurant and other facilities are open. Car parking is excellent. The restaurant with its sun-terrace is one of the "must eat" places around La Cala. The course comprises 18 holes - 6 par 3, 6 par 4 and 6 par 5. The club will be open to all - no membership is required.
